Adult Mosquito Treatment to Suppress West Nile Virus Activity in Portions of 95020 on 08/26/21

Mosquitoes infected with West Nile virus have been detected in a small portion of the county. When these infected mosquitoes bite humans, they can transmit the virus which can cause serious illness. To reduce the threat to you and your family, the County of Santa Clara Vector Control District will be reducing the population of mosquitoes with a localized adult mosquito control treatment in parts of the 95020 zip-code. Treatments are scheduled to begin Thursday, August 26, approximately 10:00 p.m. and last approximately 3 hours. For more information, please read our advisory.
