Adult mosquito control treatment to suppress West Nile virus activity in part of San Jose (ZIP-code 95132) on 8/16/23
Mosquitoes infected with West Nile virus have been detected in a small area that includes part of San Jose. When these infected mosquitoes bite humans, they can transmit the virus which can cause serious illness.
To reduce the threat to you and your family, the County of Santa Clara Vector Control District will be reducing the population of mosquitoes with a localized mosquito control treatment in part of the 95132 ZIP code. The treatment will use truck-mounted equipment and is scheduled to begin Wednesday, August 16 around 10PM and last approximately 4 hours.
