Adult mosquito control treatment to suppress West Nile virus activity in parts of San José and unincorporated Santa Clara County (ZIP-codes 95124 and 95118) on 8/22/23

Mosquitoes infected with West Nile virus have been detected in a small area that includes part of San José and unincorporated Santa Clara County.  When these infected mosquitoes bite humans, they can transmit the virus which can cause serious illness.

To reduce the threat to you and your family, the County of Santa Clara Vector Control District will be reducing the population of mosquitoes with a localized mosquito control treatment in parts of the 95124 and 95118 ZIP Codes. The treatment will use truck-mounted equipment and is scheduled to begin Tuesday, August 22 around 10PM and last a few hours.
