Adult mosquito treatment to suppress West Nile virus activity in portions of Milpitas (95035) on 07/23/22

Mosquitoes infected with West Nile virus (WNV) have been detected in a small portion of Milpitas. When these infected mosquitoes bite humans, they can transmit the virus which can cause serious illness.

To reduce the threat of a WNV human case, the County of Santa Clara Vector Control District will be reducing the mosquito population with a localized mosquito control treatment in part of the 95035 ZIP code. The treatment will use truck-mounted equipment and is scheduled to begin Saturday, July 23 around 10PM and last approximately 3 hours.

Please view our interactive map of the treatment area for questions about the treatment location. For more information, please read our advisory. To receive treatment notifications directly to your inbox, please subscribe to our Adult Mosquito Control Treatment Notifications.
