Adult mosquito control treatment to suppress West Nile virus activity in parts of Milpitas and San Jose (ZIP codes 95035 and 95134) on 8/2/23
Mosquitoes infected with West Nile virus have been detected in a small area that includes parts of Milpitas and San Jose. When these infected mosquitoes bite humans, they can transmit the virus which can cause serious illness.
To reduce the threat to you and your family, the County of Santa Clara Vector Control District will be reducing the population of mosquitoes with a localized mosquito control treatment in parts of the 95035 and 95134 ZIP codes. The treatment will use truck-mounted equipment and is scheduled to begin Wednesday, August 2 around 10PM and last approximately 4 hours.
